Brian Kangetta is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a tax consultant with experience spanning over 23 years experience in offering tax and financial consulting services, as well as company secretarial services.

He started his career with KPMG East Africa, one of the Big Four Audit & Accounting firms, and worked for KPMG East Africa in Kenya and Tanzania. He spent most of his time in Tanzania, between 2006 and 2014.

From KPMG, Brian spent 4 years with East Africa Law Chambers (currently Dentons EALC) in Tanzania, as Director for Tax Services and managing the Company Secretarial division, and subsequently worked with Andersen in Kenya, as a Partner in charge of Tax Services.

Brian has provided advisory and compliance services to a multitude of clients in various sectors (telecommunication, oil and gas, shipping, insurance, banking, agriculture, and manufacturing) and has developed a cutting edge in easily identifying tax exposure areas and tax planning opportunities and has assisted a myriad of clients in resolving tax audit issues.

He has also successfully represented clients at the Tax Revenue Appeals Board and the Tax Appeals Tribunal (TRAT). He has also been involved in a significant number of tax due diligence and tax review (health-check) assignments.

Brian is a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) as well as the East African Law Society (EALS). He is also registered with both the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA) in Tanzania, and the Institution of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Brian possesses a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Law and is a qualified Certified Public Secretary (CPS) as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
